# Syrian American Council > The Syrian American Council (SAC) is the largest Syrian American grassroots advocacy organization in the United States. We mobilize the Syrian American community to shape U.S. policy, support Syria's transition, and build collective power for what comes next. SAC has been organizing Syrian Americans since 2005. Our work spans three program areas: Justice & Transition (accountability, transitional justice, and rule of law in post-Assad Syria), Leadership & Civic Power (U.S. policy advocacy and civic engagement), and Recovery & Return (rebuilding, refugee return, and economic recovery). We work with members and supporters across a national network of Syrian Americans. ## Pages - [Home](/): Mission, latest updates, and ways to get involved. - [About](/about): Who we are, our history, and how we work. - [Leadership](/about/leadership): Board of directors and staff directory. - [Reports](/about/reports): Annual reports and impact summaries. - [Programs](/programs): Overview of our three core program areas. - [Justice & Transition](/programs/justice-transition): Accountability, transitional justice, and rule of law work. - [Leadership & Civic Power](/programs/leadership-civic-power): U.S. policy advocacy and Syrian American civic engagement. - [Recovery & Return](/programs/recovery-return): Reconstruction, refugee return, and economic recovery. - [Take Action](/take-action): Current advocacy campaigns and ways to engage elected officials. - [News](/news): Statements, analysis, and updates from SAC. - [Press](/press): Media coverage and press resources. - [Events](/events): Upcoming convenings, briefings, and community events. - [Syria Road Trip](/syria-road-trip): Cross-country delegation tour bringing Syrian Americans into civic dialogue. - [Membership](/membership): Join SAC as a dues-paying member at one of several tiers. - [Contact](/contact): Get in touch with SAC.
